A private diary online
Write in a diary that nobody else can open. Your entries never leave this device.

A diary with no account
Most online diaries ask you to sign in and keep your text on their server. This diary does not. It runs in your browser, and it saves each entry on your device. If you want the same diary on more than one device, you can turn on sync. Your browser encrypts the entries first, so the server cannot read them.
If other people use your device, turn on the passphrase lock in Settings. Your browser then encrypts every entry. Without the passphrase, the entries are unreadable.
What you can do
- Write more than one entry a day, in plain text or Markdown.
- Add tags and find old entries with search.
- Get a daily writing idea, or skip it.
- Download everything as JSON or as one Markdown file.
